This policy explains how the Canadian Outlet Shopping Assistant (the "Assistant"), a public read-only MCP service for ChatGPT and compatible clients, handles information. The Assistant searches CanadianOutlet.com products, retrieves product details, compares items, and reads published store policies.
ChatGPT or another compatible client sends only the fields required by the tool you choose:
The tools have no fields for a name, email address, phone number, postal address, payment card, government identifier, password, account credential, order number, or customer account. Do not include personal or confidential information in a product search or comparison request.
When a device connects, infrastructure providers may automatically process an IP address, date and time, requested route, HTTP method, user agent, response status, and security or routing signals. This metadata is used to deliver the service, prevent abuse, investigate failures, and protect the Assistant and CanadianOutlet.com. The Assistant does not add advertising pixels, behavioral profiling, or third-party analytics.
The Assistant uses the tool fields to query public, read-only CanadianOutlet.com catalog and policy endpoints and to return factual results with store links. It does not create orders, process payments, access customer accounts, or change store data.
Canadian Outlet does not sell Assistant data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The Assistant has no user accounts and does not write tool inputs, prompt text, or tool results to an application database or request log. Canadian Outlet retains those tool inputs for zero days after the request finishes. A short-lived in-memory cache stores only public product and policy data for about five minutes and is discarded automatically or when the service restarts.
Application diagnostic output is designed not to contain tool inputs or request bodies. Cloudflare and Hostinger control any network, security, and hosting logs they generate, including their retention schedules, under their own policies and legal obligations. Canadian Outlet does not set those provider retention periods and does not keep a separate copy as part of the Assistant.
You may choose not to use the Assistant, disconnect it from your client, or use CanadianOutlet.com directly. Because the Assistant does not maintain a user account or retained tool history, it normally has no Assistant record to access, correct, or delete. For a privacy question or request, contact Canadian Outlet using the details below. Requests about ChatGPT history or another client's records must be directed to that provider.
Purchases, checkout, and customer-account actions take place only on CanadianOutlet.com, where the store's website privacy policy applies.
The Assistant is intended for users aged 13 and older.
